Principal's Welcome

"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini."

My strength is not that of an individual, but that of the collective.

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Kura o Morningside.

On behalf of our incredible teaching team and our Board of Trustees, I warmly welcome you and your whānau to Morningside School.

It is a true privilege to serve our vibrant community and to lead a kura where tamariki, whānau and staff are all valued, respected, and celebrated. At Morningside, we cater for learners from New Entrants to Year 6, providing a nurturing environment where every child can shine.

We believe that strong relationships are the heart of great learning. When tamariki feel happy, safe and connected, they are ready to soar. We treasure the partnership we have with our whānau and community and invite you to be an active part of your child’s learning journey every step of the way.

Our school reflects the richness of our diverse community. Guided by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we honour the cultures, languages, and identities of all learners, with a deep commitment to equity, inclusion and wellbeing.

Our vision is clear: to empower every learner to be competent, curious and independent. We want learning to be joyful, meaningful and shared — with a strong focus on collaboration, creativity, and caring for the whole child.

Throughout the year, there will be many opportunities to connect, celebrate and grow together. We look forward to working in partnership with you to support your child to reach their full potential and to thrive both at school and beyond.

Ngā manaakitanga,
