This is a programme that supports children by giving them rules and clear expectations that are consistent across the school.
PB4L is a School-Wide programme that helps Morningside School to build a culture where positive behaviour and learning is a way of life. The framework is tailored to our school’s own environment and cultural needs.
In 2018 we underwent a process to revamp and revitalise our school values and started to look into the PB4L(Positive Behaviour 4 Learning). A programme that supports and encourages our tamariki, staff and whanau to He waka eke noa.
The aim of revamping our values was to ensure the Morningside School values are relevant to our current educational and societal climate and are a great fit with our vision, mission and unique school culture.

At Morningside School the values are explicitly taught in the classrooms and we have regular values assemblies to further generate thinking and discussion around our school values. Our aim is to foster these values in our classroom learning, in the playground, and in our students' home lives. Our values express a set of attitudes and attributes that both adults and students in our learning community are expected to model and act upon in everything that we do.
Value vouchers are awarded to all tamariki who demonstrate the four school values in our kura. We acknowledge positive behaviours through our school values. We encourage and support whanau to reward our values with positive reinforcement at home.

Morningside School’s vision is to create a legacy of lifelong learning. The engagement and ownership of students’ own learning and their ability to articulate this learning is an important aspect of our vision. We aim for excellence at Morningside School with high expectations for standards of achievement in all areas of school life. This includes academic achievement, standards of behaviour, participation in sport and other activities involving languages, the sciences and the arts. We seek to understand, develop and empower our students.
